Climate change and the transition to a net-zero economy are rapidly reshaping the global economy, creating both opportunities and risks. These range from trade barriers like Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanisms (CBAMs) to the increasing demand for critical minerals and emerging technologies. At the Oxford Climate Policy Monitor, I was part of a team that developed a database of global net-zero regulations—experience I now leverage to help businesses and policymakers navigate the evolving intersection of climate policy and geoeconomics.
